Fixing Error H202 in QuickBooks
Error H202 occurs in multiple-user mode when a file indicates:
- User tries to work with file which is located on another computer but the copy of QuickBooks is not able to reach on the server on that PC.
- Although the QuickBooks on your computer allowed to share connection to any of the company file, but the QuickBooks is unable to do so.
How to fix the issue?
This problem happens due to incorrect hosting configuration, damaged .nd file, unable to obtain IP Address or firewall is blocking communication. To fix this issue try the following given steps:
- Go to the main server computer which stores all the company files.
- In the server computer, open start menu and then type database.
- Select QuickBooks Database Server Manager
- If there is a case that there is no folder location, click on Browse and find out where the files are been stored in the computer.
- If you have found the files, then click on OK.
- Select START SCAN which will automatically repair all the firewall permissions which makes QuickBooks to communicate over your network and the issue is resolved.
- If the issue is resolved then you can close the operation by clicking on Close and now try to open QuickBooks again in Multi-user mode on your Computer.
